  • About The Artist

    Nata Kaplan was born in Alexandria Egypt in 1918 to the Levontin family. Her parents had emigrated from the Land of Israel to Egypt because of her father’s profession as a physician. In 1918 her family went back to Tel Aviv. In 1936 she went to London, England, to study secretarial skills. From 1938-1940 she lived with Gabi Bardi, her first husband, in Cyprus. In 1942 she married the engineer Gershon Dushinsky. After his death she married Dr. Kaplan. She received her education in art starting in the 1950s. Among her teachers at the Avni Institute of Art and Design were Streichman, Stematsky, and others.
